Currently Reading (February 2017)

My 2017 reading list is as long as my arm and continues being added to on a daily basis.  You could probably say I’m addicted to personal development books...so expect lots of those in these 'current reads' posts.

How To Be F*cking Awesome by Dan Meredith

This was a fun, easy read which packed a punch of motivation, life and business advice. Some of the ideas are so simple, but are often overlooked. Particularly if you’re self employed or have aspirations to be an entrepreneur, you’ll find loads of value in this book.

I love Dan’s no BS attitude and straight talking style. As he’s a skilled copy writer, this book reads really smoothly and hooks you in, even if you don't consider yourself a 'reader'.

Essentialism by Greg McKeown

Now I’m only just starting this one, but I’m so excited to do so and have high expectations. This is one of those books I couldn’t get away from in 2016. Everyone I follow seems to recommend it, and that can only be a good sign.

One of my main goals in 2017 is to say no to the things that don’t serve me - basically, to say no more and be ruthless with prioritising what I spend my time doing.

This book is perfect for that, as it focuses on narrowing down your top priority in life, and weeding out the meaningless things that are holding you back from it.

You will definitely hear more about this one if I end up finding it as helpful as others say it is!

Pretty Iconic by Sali Hughes

Sali is such a treasure to the beauty community. She is passionate about the industry, honest, relatable and caring. Her first book, Pretty Honest, was a fantastic read and Pretty Iconic is proving to be no different.

Quite simply, it is a collection of the beauty products that have shaped, pivoted or completely revolutionised the industry. If you’re a makeup and beauty product lover in any way, this book is fascinating and packed with knowledge, tips and history lessons all in one. I’m half way through and thoroughly enjoying it.

As each product has its own dedicated page, it’s one you can dip in and out of, so a lovely relaxed read if you only have 5 minutes to enjoy a tea break. This has been my bedtime read recently - it’s a little treat before bed!

Now, I’d love to hear from you!

Let me know in the comments below what YOU’RE reading at the moment, and how you're finding it. 😃
